Hello, My name is Walter Machel,

I have been involved in the photography, and advertising industry for over 30 years.

I am exited to announce that I am in the final stages of successfully completing (with Honours)a Diploma in Web Design. I am now able to take that 30 plus years of experience in photographic compostion and design that I have learned in the photography and printing business and seamlessly translate it into Web Design.

I am totally on board with this modern advertising medium, and I am very happy to be able to offer my services as a very competent and W3C Web Compliant, creative, and very capable front end Web Designer. Of course, I can still serve all of my current clients needs for their photographic and design services, with an improved ability to help them expand their advertising in a modern, effective and highly proven manner. Still, with the same quality workmanship they have come to expect from me over the years.

I have been lucky that during my time in school I have been able to take on a handfull of quality web design clients. I have been able to create many Web Site Samples for you to visit and explore, some are real clients, and some are what are referred to as "comps" , these are projects built to showcase my abilities with various aspects of web design and website interaction. To showcase my abilities to potential clients and to the world.

The links page has some interesting sites connected to it as well, Including the Alberta trucking company Noranco Transport, owned by the perhaps legendary Northern Tundra Trucker, Norm Austin.

It is Norm's company that has made a lot of this trucking photography possible. Norms drivers and brokers go with their trucks, where many men have feared to tread. Making the photography on their site, placed there by their drivers, some of the most unique and rarest Canadian Photographic locations you may ever see. A lot of my photography is there as well, as I have spent some time behind the wheel of one of Noranco Transports trucks myself, and I loved every minute of it ...by the way.
