Welcome to Photography by Walter...

Hello, My name is Walter Machel, I have been doing film photography since the 1970's, and with the exception of a couple of "Blackberry" cam phone pictures, the majority of the photography contained within this site is still shot that way, using film. This sets me apart significantly from most of the other Photographers of today. When I started my Photography Career, there was no such thing as digital cameras, or digital anything for that matter! So if you wanted your treasured family heirloom photographs to be around in 100 years, then film was, and still is, the only way to go.
So come on in and check out the samples inside and enjoy. If my style of Photography suits your needs, and If you would like to

The links page has some interesting sites connected to it as well, Including the Alberta trucking company Noranco Transport, owned by the perhaps legendary Northern Tundra Trucker, Norm Austin. It is Norm's company that has made a lot of this trucking photography possible. Norms drivers and brokers go with their trucks, where many men have feared to tread. Making the photography on their site, placed there by their drivers, some of the most unique and rarest Canadian Photographic locations you may ever see.
